Sheridan James, MD

About Dr. James

Sheridan James, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician. She was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, and graduated from the University of Arizona College of Medicine. She then moved to Phoenix to complete her residency at the HonorHealth Scottsdale Internal Medicine Residency Program. 

Because of her longstanding history as a competitive athlete and experience as an NCAA Division I college athlete, she carries a passion for nutrition and fitness. This passion is foundational in her work with her patients, where she helps them become the best version of themselves. Whether the goal is to improve healthspan, lose weight, minimize prescription medications, or generally improve one’s quality of life, she prioritizes spending meaningful time with her patients to provide the most exceptional care. This includes a combination of western and functional medicine, placing an emphasis on prevention of disease, food as medicine, incorporation of daily movement, stress reduction, hormone replacement therapy, and weight loss.

In her free time, she loves spending time with her family and doing anything active, including gardening, yard work, weight lifting, running, or cycling, and making sourdough bread.
